Video Convergence Unveils iVDO Octal IP Decoder at ITS America 2006; Eight-channel decoder enables simultaneous streaming of eight MPEG-4 video streams: May 8, 2006
Springfield, VA – May 8, 2006 – Video Convergence, the video surveillance products and integration services division of Cornet Technology, Inc. (CTI), announced the availability of the iVDO Octal Decoder at ITS America 2006 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The iVDO Octal Decoder’s eight channels enable simultaneous decoding of eight MPEG-4 video streams. Integral dual quad multiplexers let users of intelligent transportation and video surveillance systems select which of eight decoded streams to view and how to display the video -- quad, full screen or picture-in-picture format.
The iVDO Octal Decoder is being showcased at booth #519 during ITS America 2006 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 7-9, 2006.
The iVDO Octal Decoder is designed for security and surveillance applications that require video viewing via large flat panel or projection video systems. The dual quad multiplexer outputs are available as Composite, S-Video, and VGA signals for connecting directly to computer display monitors such as plasmas or LCD screens. The unit also features six Ethernet ports, which allow for up to five connections to external devices.
Ata Tursucu, Director of Product Management, Video Convergence division, said, “Intelligent transportation and video surveillance systems are constantly growing larger and becoming more intricate. To accommodate this trend, it is important for single devices to be capable of multiple functions. With the iVDO Octal’s eight-channel decoding and dual quad multiplexers, video can be quickly decoded and directed to its final destination in real time while maintaining a high-quality of resolution and accuracy.”
