 Senior Manufacturing Technician
 Location:  Springfield, VA

 

 

Description: 

  1. Complete knowledge of computer operation.
  2. Knowledge of electronic assembly, Surface Mount and through-hole technology.
  3. Reads and follows work orders, drawings, schematic diagrams, bills of material and specifications to determine established assembly method, material needed and subassembly to be processed.
  4. Setup and operate Surface Mount Equipment for prototype builds.
  5. Responsible for programming of all equipment for Surface Mount process and maintenance of all production equipment.
  6. Sets up and creates reflow oven profiles to solder parts to PCB. 
  7. Monitors surface mount equipment operation and process to detect malfunctions and makes required adjustments.
  8. Maintain Surface Mount component database.
  9. Maintain “Made-to-Manage” database for Surface Mount process and BOM issues.
  10. Creates programs for AOI, inspects PCB to detect inaccuracies, defects and process problems. 
  11. Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and equipment issues.
  12. Notifies supervisor or manufacturing engineering of deviation from specification, machine malfunctions or need for equipment maintenance. 
  13. Provides feedback to engineering on any problems incurred during prototype build. 
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Education: High School Diploma, work experience in Electronics and Mechanical, manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance. Must have complete knowledge of computer operation, software.
